Spring Hill wines, fresh, vibrant and deliciously approachable, are expressions of our winemaking ethos. Pinot Gris is an amazingly versatile variety, from light and fresh to layered and complex. Ours lies somewhere in the middle, lovely soft layering is created by minimal skin contact, cool ferment and some post ferment yeast contact.

| Palate: | Layers of pear and lemon zest combine to give this wine a fleshy, generous, fruit driven palate. Light mineral notes and pretty florals add to the length and complexity. A gentle acid backbone and a delicate textual finish complete the wine. | ||||||
| Style: |
A medium to light bodied, dry white wine with delicate acidity and a subtle textural finish. A small portion of this wine is barrel fermented adding complexity and length. This is a versatile food wine that pairs well with many Asian style meals, especially seafood, poultry and pork-based dishes. Many other seafood dishes would also work, for instance grilled fish with butter sauce or maybe barbecued lobster tails. A few glasses by itself on a lazy Sunday afternoon would hit the spot too. |
