Irvine Wines are thrilled to announce that at the 2017 Barossa Wine Show they were awarded the Best 2016 Shiraz Trophy for their Irvine Wines Eden Valley Estate Shiraz. Up against some of the most famous Shiraz producers in Australia this cooler climate Shiraz from Estate vineyards in the Eden Valley took the top honour.
This wine is a testament to how well this variety can perform in the cooler and higher climes of Eden Valley. The wine shows ripe red cherry and blackberry with hints of coffee on the nose. The palate carries this red fruit as well and then is balanced with fine tannins and a smooth finish. A single vineyard wine of style and substance. This is a wine that is perfect to drink now, but will cellar for ten years plus.
